Prayer Ministry
Second Saturday Corporate Prayer is exploring a new expression...
After working together on Moms In Touch - Extraordinary Day of Prayer on November 14, 2009, Connie Kennemer and Michelle Lewis felt compelled to follow God's leading to start a Moms In Touch group of Pomerado moms who desire to come together and lift up their children in prayer.
Connie considers the ministry of Moms in Touch to be her school of prayer as she has participated in the ministry for 25 years. Michelle helped establish the first-ever preschool MIT group right here at Pomerado Preschool. They both know that praying together as mothers is critical and effective.
Please consider joining us for this hour of prayer for your children of any age. There is no greater legacy to pass on to the next generation than the gift of a mother's prayers!
Standing in the Need of Prayer...
Prayer Team Members: Evan Foote, Don & Peri Cunefare, Barb Harris, Sue Harrison, David Johnston, Connie Kennemer, Gloria Solstad, Joe Vaineharrison, Sian Whittaker.....
Any Sunday morning, you may run into "one of the above". You might find them in the Prayer Room before service or standing in the front after service, praying with members of the congregation. This is PCC's Prayer Team and they each consider it an honor and a privilege to pray for you.
They aren't specialists, just believers who have seen God at work as people pray. The first church, as described in Acts 2:42, describes their passion: "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to PRAYER."
The Apostle Paul is their model. When perilous situations and circumstances threatened Paul, he wrote this to the praying community at Corinth: “…On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as you HELP US WITH YOUR PRAYERS (I Corinthians 1:10,11).”
PCC’s Prayer Team wants to help you with their prayers!
Prayer Requests: If you would prefer to request prayer by completing a Prayer Request Card, you will find the card in the pocket of each chair in our sanctuary. You may put the Prayer Request Card in the offering plate, or give it to one of the Prayer Team members.
