Worship Ministry

Worship is something we can do individually, but God places special importance on believers worshiping together. To encourage unity in worship, our services are "blended." This means that services include both traditional and contemporary music. Our congregation spans a range of ages, backgrounds, and musical tastes. Some are in jeans, others in suits. Some are from next door; others were born overseas. All are committed to joyfully worshiping Jesus together.

Music - Sunday Worship Team, Seasonal Choir, and "The" Bands

If you love to sing and can carry a tune (semi-on-key), you can participate in the Sunday Worship Team which leads the congregation in singing of praise to God for all the blessings He has given us.  Team members rotate Sundays so everyone gets a chance to participate throughout the year!

If Choir is your passion, you can participate in the Seasonal Choir!  Adults and children (ages 12 and up) are welcome to join us.  Choir usually performs at Easter and Christmas, with rehearsals scheduled on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, just a few weeks before the festive celebrations.  This is where many people come out of the woodwork to sing in the Choir, and the best part is - you don't have to sing on-key to participate!

We have 2 bands that play for the musical events:

• We are proud to have a Youth Group Band that plays for special church events.  Band members are part of our Youth Group (hence the band's name) and is led by Josh Foote, Youth Director.  Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Worship Ministry Support Team

If being in the front of the room doesn't suit you, but you would still like to participate in the Worship Ministry, there are several opportunities to do so.  Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • Helpers - set up and take down amps, speakers, sheet music racks, etc. for the Sunday Worship Team and other musical events.
• Run computer during Sunday worship services - add pictures behind the music words and navigate through the words as we sing, and navigate through Pastor Evan's slide presentations.  It is easy to do and would help give the "regulars" a break.  Training is provided.
• Run sound for the Sunday worship services and other church events - turn on/off mics, turn on/off CD's of music, operate sound equipment, etc.  Training provided.
