MissionThe need in Mexico is great and overwhelming at times. Less than 4% of Mexicans are born-again believers. Over 90% of Mexicans nave never heard the gospel one time. The fields are ripe but the laborers are few. There is a growing population of Hispanics in the US. Mexicans working in the US eventually come home to Mexico. By reaching out to the Mexican people in your community you can also help plant seeds for the gospel. In Mazatlan, we are doing outreach in two areas: Villa Union and Colonia. These are both poor communities with many social problems, a lack of infrastructure and poor sanitation. In recent months these communities have been hit hard with flu, Dengue, Typhoid, and Hepatitis. Life Focus

Missionaries: John & Rachel Reaser
John grew up in Brazil. His father was a bush pilot for MAF. His parents served missionaries and tribal people in remote jungle villages. As a young child John accepted Christ as his savior. His many experiences in the jungles of Brazil fueled his life long passion for world missions. In 1985 John began his studies at Moody Bible Institute in Bible Theology. During that time he met his wife-to-be, Rachel. Rachel was born and raised in Guatemala, the daughter of missionaries. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 9. Over the years, Rachel had many opportunities to serve the Lord with her family and she grew to love the people and culture of Latin America. After graduation, John and Rachel planned to become foreign missionaries but God, in His sovereign plan, had a special assignment for them. A mission field different than anything they had anticipated. Their first son Johnathan was born with severe medical problems that required intensive 24 hour a day care. He was not expected to live more than a few days but God gave him 10 special years of life. During this time, the Reasers ministered to little Johnathan with all of his special needs and to hundreds of people the Lord brought into their lives because of him. One day a book will be written about the wonders, the heartaches and the triumphs of this special assignment from God. Suffice it to say that the Reasers thank God for choosing them for this job and ministry. During these years, the Reasers lived in Charlotte, NC. They became involved in a ministry to needy inner-city children as well as in the planting of a new church in the city. They had two more sons, Daniel and Joshua. The Lord took Johnathan home to heaven in June of 2000. At about the same time, John lost his job in Charlotte. God uprooted the Reasers life in Charlotte to fulfill the desire of their heart, to participate in world missions. God's timing is perfect, Praise His Name. AddressJohn and Rachel Reaser |

Daily Scripture Verse“[Psalm 18] For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD. He sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said: I love you, LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” - Psalm 18:1-2
