Received August 27, 2010
Greetings, Here is a bit of an update. I returned last week from a two week trip to Peru and then on to Chile. I met with our team in Peru and taught a class in our Servant Leader Training program. I believe we had about 140 in attendance in spite of bad weather. The work there is going well. You will be getting more details on that soon. I encourage ALL of you to go to our web page weekly and see the new article on the blog page. www.projectnewhopeinternational.com My time in Chile was good. I got to see some long time friends as well as visit El Faro, the church we helped plant. It was good to be there but difficult to see so many friends suffering in so many different ways. I was glad to have had the opportunity to go. The day after I got home I got a major sinus attack just in time to go to our Board meeting in Napa, CA. The medicine I took for it had a weird affect on me which didn't help matters. It was one of the best board meetings we have ever had. The commitment this group has to the Lord and the work in Peru is amazing. We had some tough but needed conversations and left there more focused, and more united than ever to do all that is needed to see success in what we are doing in Trujillo. I'm home, working and recuperating from all the travels, etc. I'll be sharing more in September about the many successes we are experiences this year in Peru. Keep praying for us all. Love in Him John and Carla

Daily Scripture Verse“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.” - James 3:17-18
